Pecan Rolls everyone will rave over!
When it comes to breakfast pastries, there is nothing I love more than a good sticky bun. Cinnamon rolls are delicious and all, but I’ll take a gooey, nutty, sticky bun over a cinnamon roll any day. One batch of this sticky buns recipe will make 12 good-size buns, but leftover buns can be frozen and reheated. Or, you can make them in two smaller pans and plan on giving one away to friends. They will love you for it!
What is a Sticky Bun?
If you have never had a sticky bun before, you are in for a real treat! A sticky bun is a sweet, pastry-like baked good that is typically made from yeasted dough, sugar, and butter. The sweet dough is rolled out into a rectangular shape, filled with butter, sugar, and cinnamon, then rolled up into a log and sliced into individual buns and placed in a pan with a sugar and butter mixture that caramelizes during baking, creating a sticky, sweet glaze that coats the buns. The result is a delicious, gooey, and indulgent pastry.
