My middle kiddo has recently been asking for peach smoothies (in part since she likes to steal some of the frozen peaches straight from the bag!), so we’ve been making this easy smoothie a lot lately. It is so creamy, has such great peach flavor, and is really easy to make. I love to make enough to share with the kids—and we often use purchased frozen peaches or frozen peaches we’ve frozen at home if we’ve been able to find fresh fruit on sale. Smoothies can be a great toddler breakfast, baby snack, or after school snack. Or they can be a drink option with any other meal. Ingredients You Need

Here’s are the ingredients you need to make this kids smoothie recipe so you know what to look for at the store.

Milk: You can use dairy milk or a nondairy milk in this peach smoothie. I like the Good Karma brand one shown above, soy milk, or ripple milk. Peaches: I usually make this smoothie with frozen peaches. You can use fresh peaches and use a frozen banana if you prefer. Banana: This adds nice flavor and additional creaminess. If you don’t want to do banana, you can either use frozen mango or double the amount of peaches. Greek yogurt: A little yogurt adds protein and creaminess. Honey or maple syrup to taste. (Avoid honey for babies under age 1.)

Step-by-Step Instructions

Below I’ll explain the basics of making this peach smoothie. Scroll down to the end of this post for the full information.

How to Serve Smoothies to Kids

You can serve a peach smoothie to a baby or toddler (or a big kid) in a reusable pouch, a small open sippy cup with a small amount of liquid, or in a straw cup. You can find my full rundown of smoothie cups with affordable options for each category.

How to Store

To store this smoothie, freeze smoothie mixture in an ice cube tray overnight. Store for up to 3 months in a sealed freezer bag. Transfer a few cubes to a blender and add 1/2-1 cup milk (or orange juice) and blend to serve. You can also store in the fridge for up to 24 hours in an airtight container.

Best Tips for Success

Add 1 tablespoon hemp seeds, 1 teaspoon chia seeds, or a handful raw cauliflower or baby spinach to add nutrition to this smoothie.

And to vary the flavors in this smoothie, try:

Peach-Mango Smoothie: Replace the banana with frozen diced mango. Peach-Orange Smoothie: Replace the milk with orange juice. Peach-Hemp Smoothie: Add 2 tablespoons hemp seeds. Peach-Strawberry Smoothie: Use strawberries in place of the banana. Peach-Blueberry Smoothie: Replace the banana with frozen blueberries. If you have more peaches to use, try Peach Crumb Bars, Peach Popsicles, Peach Yogurt, and Peach Muffins.
