Baby Popsicles

I have long loved baby popsicles as a way to both soothe teething gums and offer a fun snack on warm days. And this list includes my favorite ones for littles, with easy to make and nutritious mixtures in a range of flavors. You can make these healthy popsicles for baby as an easy baby snack, and you can enjoy one too! I recommend having a popsicle mold ready to go, so you can make quick work of the process. Or you can use a breastmilk freezer tray with popsicle sticks if you happen to have both. (You may also like Fruit Slushies, Fruit Ice Pops, Frozen Yogurt, and my guide on how to make popsicles.)

Best Popsicle Mold for Babies

I prefer this mini popsicle mold from Zoku for babies. We started using them around 7 months because they are a great size for little hands. Plus the popsicle mixture stays firmly attached to the base, reducing any choking risk.

Easy Pear Popsicles

This is a great recipe to keep in mind as a natural remedy for many ailments the kids may face. You can keep canned pears on hand as a pantry staple and make these popsicles whenever needed. These baby popsicles are made with 100% fruit juice and pears.

Easy Strawberry Popsicles

These homemade Strawberry Popsicles are a staple in our house. They are sweet, a tiny bit tangy, nutritious (from berries and Greek yogurt), and are so fast to make. You can offer these yogurt popsicles as a baby-led weaning food and they can be sweetened a little more with maple syrup for older kids or adults.

Easy Mango Popsicles

These baby popsicles are an easy way to soothe a sore throat or teething gums, are packed with vitamin C and probiotics for kids, and work as a dessert or snack. Try making them with coconut milk if you need them to be dairy-free.

Favorite Fruit Popsicles

You can use any fresh or frozen fruit you have on hand or that your kids like, you can sweeten to taste or make them without any added sweetener, and you have the option to make these baby fruit popsicles creamy or not. In short, this is a versatile recipe that can be made again and again!

Favorite Blueberry Popsicles

Pack fruits and veggies into your next batch of freezer pops with these super simple and delicious Blueberry Popsicles. That’s right—they even have a dose of spinach inside for extra nutrition for the kids! Make them full size or as a mini version.

Peach Popsicles

They are easy to make with fresh or frozen fruit—or you can use canned fruit if needed. These popsicles are a perfect way to cool off, work as a hydration food, and are a yummy vitamin-rich toddler snack.

Fresh Watermelon Popsicles

There are few things better than fresh watermelon, but turning that fresh watermelon into a popsicle is a close second. Add fresh mint for more flavor.

Pineapple Popsicles

They have just three ingredients, can be made with fresh or frozen fruit, and are incredibly creamy and naturally sweet. They take just minutes to mix up, too.

Favorite Banana Popsicles

Blend ripe bananas into the most flavorful and creamy Banana Popsicles with this super simple method. These yogurt pops are a refreshing and nutritious baby popsicle that’s so quick and easy to make.

Easy Sore Throat Popsicles

This recipe for sore throat popsicles relies on fruit for the creamy, soothing texture, as well as vitamin C, and are a hydrating food. That way, even if the kids aren’t eating much else, this will help nourish them and, I hope, help them feel a little better.

Best Tips for Success

Use plain whole milk yogurt in recipes that call for yogurt to ensure the yogurt popsicle recipes are filling and provide a source of beneficial fats. Check my list of favorite popsicle molds for the best options, or pick up a silicone drip guard for store-bought popsicles. If a baby popsicle is hard to release from the mold, run it under warm water for 30-60 seconds and try again. Freeze leftover baby food pouches into easy baby popsicles for another option.
