Easy Easter Idea

I love interactive kitchen activities for the kids and this Easter snack or lunch is our favorite one in the spring. We usually do it a few times leading up to Easter since my kids love the novelty of it, and I love how easy it is to put together using whatever foods we happen to have on hand. You simply put the elements of lunch or snack into plastic Easter eggs and let the kids hunt and open the eggs to see what they find inside. (You could even put the eggs in their toddler Easter basket for extra fun!) If you do this idea for lunch, mix up the food groups to provide a mix of nutrients. No need to worry too much about that, but just include a few different foods to ensure the kids have enough to fill up on.

Step-by-Step Instructions

To make this snack or lunch, here’s an overview of how to pull it together.

Foods for Easter Lunch

In this super simple lunch, I like to use foods including dry cereal for kids, dried fruit, diced cheese, blueberries, diced turkey or chicken, thawed frozen peas and edamame. It’s basically a similar idea to a Snack Dinner, just with the foods put into clean Easter Eggs.

I have all of my favorite Easter activities for kids to share, too. Please check it out if you’re interested in more fun and free springtime activities to do with the kids!

Best Tips for Success

Use clean, dry Easter Eggs. Cut the food up into small pieces that are easy for the kids to eat. Allow kids to help fill the eggs if they want to, which can extend the activity. Use this as a fun lunch idea in the weeks leading up to Easter.

I’d love to hear your experience if you try this Easter snack!
