Love a good snack mix? Us too! Some of our other favorites are S’mores Snack Mix, Lucky Charms Snack Mix, and classic Puppy Chow (aka Muddy Buddies). I didn’t use to be a big fan of Valentine’s Day, but ever since having kids it has actually become one of my favorite holidays! We draw names and do “secret cupid” gifts for each other in the weeks leading up to the holiday. Just little things like leaving a note, making a bed, or unloading the dishwasher when it’s someone else’s turn. It really is the sweetest to see our girls looking for ways to serve the person they are acting as Secret Cupid for. This year I’m trying something new by cutting out hearts from colorful cardstock and writing something I love about each of them to tape onto their doors at night after they go to sleep. We’ll see how it goes! One of the things I love most about Valentine’s Day are the darling red, white, and pink treats! They really are just the cutest! When I saw these darling X’s & O’s gummies at Trader Joe’s, I knew I needed to find a way to use them in a recipe and a simple Valentine-themed moose munch seemed like the perfect opportunity.

How to Make This Recipe
Place the white chocolate into a large microwave-safe mixing bowl. Melt in the microwave using short 30-second increments, stirring after blast of heat until all the white chocolate is melted and smooth. Add the chex, cheerios, and pretzels to the bowl of melted white chocolate. Gently stir with a spatula to evenly coat the cereal in the white chocolate, then pour it out onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and spread in an even layer. Top the cereal and white chocolate with the sprinkles, then the snack mix set until the chocolate it firm. Break apart any large chunks by hand, being careful not to crush the cereal. Add the jelly beans and gummy candy, then toss everything together to evenly distribute the candy. Transfer to bowls for serving or divide between gift bags for delivering to friends.

Storage: You can store it in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Variation: This recipe is super versatile and you can easily swap out ingredients for something else based on personal preference. Popped popcorn is another great choice in place of some of the cereal. Or you can do Valentine M&M’s instead of gummies if you prefer.Candy melts: If you don’t want to do gummy candies, you could use red or pink candy melts in place of the white ones to add more color to your mix if you prefer. Or do a base of white, then drizzle with melted pink or red candy melts before breaking up the cereal and adding the candy to the mix.
